HomeControl Outlet (HCO) has become even smarter. We’re eager to share the many advantages you’ll get by installing it in your home.
The patented HCO contains two independent controllers and two temperature sensors.
Two LEDs indicate if the output is on or off. If both diodes flash it means the HCO is not paired with Home Control Gateway (HCG).
And so the fun begins!
To let the fun part begin, you’ll first of all have to register which rooms you want to control in the app. Here you also decide whether the outputs should have functions for heat, light or simply be a general controllable output. Once all this is done, you can start playing around!
There is a temperature sensor for measuring the ambient temperature on front of the outlet. It is this temperature sensor that allows the HCO to be used as a thermostat. This is not an exact temperature meter for the room, but more like an indication. It is possible to calibrate this app subsystem / WebConfig.
Set the outlet and the app to control the temperature of your heaters. In the app you will see a temperature panel. Decide what temperature indicates comfort mode, saving mode and frost protection mode. Your schedule will determine when to put on the different scenes.
There is also a built-in safety feature in the HCO: A temperature sensor inside the outlet for improved electrical safety. If the temperature inside the HCO reaches more than 70 degrees, it automatically switches both outputs off. A major relief to those of us worrying about possible fires caused by home electronics.
You’ve probably been intrigued by awesome videos or photos showing residential lighting control. It’s for everyone! The lighting feature tells the system that you have connected a lighting source, and that this can be controlled manually in the app, as well by a time schedule. Personally, we think the schedule is the way to go 😉 And the best part: You can control Phillips HUE and Osram Lightify also 😀
General power control
Our magnificent outlet is designed with a simple on/off button for each output. This is not an extravagant or sophisticated feature, but nevertheless a brilliant one. It simply lets you turn on or off the power supply to each output. Perfect it you’d like to prevent your kids from charging their cell at night.
In addition, we thought it’d be nice to let you control this feature with a time schedule as well. So if you want to cut power supply to a specific output at 11Pm every day – for example when your teenager usually goes to bed – then that’s what you enter in your schedule.
Hot water schedule
Nice application if you want to control the water heater from a smart outlet. You’ll be able to decide what time of day it has to start to heat up and when go to sleep mode.
Pretty much a smart outlet, or what?
It’s included in starter kit 1, and you can add as many outlets you want to every system in our webshop. We can’t wait for you to try it and hear more about your experiences.
Have a wonderful weekend, folks!
